What started as a leap into something new quickly became a passion. Malissa never expected to fall in love with bookkeeping, but three years in, she finds deep meaning in supporting small businesses behind the scenes. With a calm presence and open-hearted approach, she brings clarity, communication, and aloha to every client she works with. When she’s not organizing financials, you’ll find her dancing hula, making lei, or recharging in the mountains or by the sea – always grounded, always grateful.
Inspired by the dream of building something meaningful together, Meiko joined the journey to create a family-run business with heart. With a natural sense of logic and a hands-on mindset, he supports the operational side of the business and is quickly mastering the ropes of bookkeeping. As Malissa’s partner of 20 years, he’s the steady rhythm behind the vision – always learning, always building. Outside the books, he finds joy in the simplicity of island life: tending the land, hunting, and ensuring his family thrives through sustainable living.
Meia brings the creative spark to Pacific Balance, shaping how the business shows up online. With a love for visual storytelling and social media, she helps capture the easy, breezy feeling that’s at the heart of the brand – like a calm day at the beach, where everything flows just right. Being part of a family business comes naturally to her, and she infuses every post and project with creativity, aloha, and a sense of place.
